In remembrance of CDR Jeffrey Austin Peck who served in VP-6 from 1969 to 1972


On Friday, January 7, 2005, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  His strength and quiet determination inspired those in his presence.  A 1967 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he completed a career in the Navy as a decorated combat pilot and accomplished staff officer, retiring in 1988 as a Commander.  After retiring from the Navy, he continued his service to the military community as the Deputy Director of the Contract Services and Marketing department for the Military Officers Association of America. Beloved husband for 27 years of Patricia Dugan Peck; loving father of Kimberly Schnitker of Port Republic, Maryland  and Jeffrey  Austin Peck, Jr., of Los Angeles, California; dear brother of Robert Underwood Peck of Nashville,

Tennessee and Linda Cupach of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and devoted grandfather of Maximillian, Samuel, Nicholas, and Henry Schnitker and Aidan Peck.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered March 10, 2005 at 10:45 a.m. at the Fort Myers Post Chapel (with friends and family assembling at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel), followed by interment at Arlington National Cemetery will Full Military Honors.
